By attending Club meetings and presenting projects, you will enjoy many benefits. You wil have the opportunity to:

	Learn and practice techniques of effective public speaking
	Prepare and deliver formal speeches on subjects of your own choosing
	Rehearse speeches for business/ client presentations
	Give impromptu talks on assigned topics
	Gain speaking experience that relates to specific career needs
	Listen to interesting speeches and projects, prepared by your fellow toastmasters
	Develop coaching and evaluation techniques
	Sharpen your listening and evaluation skills
	Learn proper parliamentary procedure and chair meetings
	Enter Toastmasters speech contests (international speeches; humorous speeches, etc.)

Membership Costs & Benefits

Membership fees amount to $170 per annum. These cover the fees of the Toastmasters International Secretariat and the club's running costs. As a members, in addition to attend the meetings and follow the Toastmasters program, you will receive the "Toastmaster" monthly magazine and you will have access, twice a year, to two free training sessions, on Communication & Leadership, of half a day each.

New members pay a supplemental nominal initiation fee, to cover the "New Member Package," which includes the Communication & Leadership Manual.

To be noted is that, contrary to many other clubs, there no cover charges to access the meetings of the Outremont-Toastmasters Club.

All costs related to Toastmasters are deductible as professional expenses.
